Wood Floor Care

Keeping your hardwood floors clean and looking good can be quite a task. Just as with other types of flooring, wood floors should be cleaned by professionals and periodically conditioned. As much as you may clean them, you’ll still have scuff marks and dirty spots. High traffic areas such as entryways and main walkways will often have extra wear. Dirt, sand, moisture and other contaminants make their way in near the entryways and can leave visible, unattractive wear & tear. These are a few of the reasons it’s recommended that your hardwood floors be professionally cleaned and polished periodically. Depending on how busy an area is we recommend professional cleaning 1-4 times per year for most hardwood floors.

HARDWOOD WAX REMOVAL

Hardwood floor protectors should be used regularly to keep your floors safe from moisture and damage. Unfortunately a lot of store bought wax products cause a build up that can leave your floors looking dull and unclean. Don't break your back and spend all your time trying to get rid of that wax. Have Olimpia cleaning's trained professionals handle all of your hardwood wax removal needs.

HARDWOOD CLEANING

There are a lot of different things that can cause scratches and scuffs in  your hardwood floors. These visible marks can be caused by shoes, moving furniture, drops, pet claws, and more. If these marks aren't treated before too long your hardwood floors are exposed, which can lead to deterioration.

HARDWOOD BUFF & RECOAT

The protective layer of polyurethane we use to keep our hardwood floors safe from moisture and damage will always wear down over time with use. This leaves your wood vulnerable to damage.

It's time to start thinking about having your floors buffed and recoated once you start noticing scuff marks and mild gauges. These marks are evidence that the polyurethane coating is thinning out.

While our Buff & Recoat process will not remove deep gauges
